Blogging is like a very public journal.  You can publish stories, journal edits, think pieces, homework... You can authorize peer comments or deactivate the comment function all together.

Podcasts

Podcasts are the audio version of blogging. They are relatively easy to record and can be sent or posted for students to download.

They also offer students a way of presenting information that doesn't require the technology of pen and paper.
